Useful Information

Use of Personal Data

In providing actuarial services to the Trustee, their adviser Aon and the Scheme Actuary require access to personal data about members and their dependants. Data protection law governs how the Trustee, Aon and the Scheme Actuary use and store personal data.

Personal information that is provided to Aon and the Scheme Actuary by the Trustee may include details such as:

  • date of birth
  • sex
  • salary and pension amounts
  • marital status
  • postcode

Medical records are not provided to Aon or the Scheme Actuary.

Aon will always use the information in accordance with their agreements with the Trustee.

Members can find out more information about how their personal information is used in the provision of actuarial services here.

In May 2018, a new law came into force concerning the protection and processing of people's personal data. For more information, please see the Scheme's GDPR Data Protection Policy and Full GDPR Data Privacy Notice in the Library.
